Position Overview

Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice in Hampton, Virginia. This vital role will place you at the forefront of patient care, enabling individuals to reclaim their mobility and enhance their overall quality of life. Our facility spans an impressive 5,000 square feet, equipped with state-of-the-art sports medicine technology. Located in Hampton, VA, our team consists of skilled professionals, including two licensed physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for both staff and patients. Our patient demographic primarily includes individuals with private medical insurance, allowing us to focus on delivering high-quality treatments without being constrained by limitations often faced in larger healthcare systems.

Work Environment

You will work onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center, equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies. The work schedule is structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to recognize and articulate the goals and needs of each patient.
• Maintain an effective patient load, typically seeing one individual per hour, allowing for comprehensive attention and care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to offer cost-effective treatments aimed at improving patients' mobility and functionality.
• Reduce reliance on medications by exploring and promoting non-surgical rehabilitation alternatives.
• Develop individualized care plans by incorporating diverse treatment methodologies and therapeutic techniques.
• Design and customize fitness and wellness programs that cater to the unique requirements of patients.
• Deliver quality care and interventions that foster optimal recovery and movement potential.
• Motivate and empower patients throughout their treatment journey to enhance their functional capabilities.
• Encourage a healthy lifestyle by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall well-being.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document all services provided meticulously to enhance care continuity and compliance with industry standards.
• Regularly assess treatment effects, monitor progress, and maintain transparent communication with patients and fellow staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries, sports-related ailments, and general mobility challenges. Many of our patients are active individuals who are driven to return to their pre-injury levels of activity, making your role crucial in designing personalized recovery plans that address their specific functional goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and the ability to create effective exercise routines tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT or similar platforms, for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient care settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience in developing and leading patient-specific wellness programs.

Compensation and Benefits
