Senior Compensation Analyst

Job Description Senior Compensation Analyst in the Company Shared Services team will develop, analyze, and implement compensation programs that support strategic goals, market competitiveness, internal equity and legal compliance. The role provides expert analytics, consultation, and leadership for base pay, incentive, and recognition programs, and contributes to career architecture initiatives such as job analysis, titling, and market pricing strategies. Key Responsibilities Incentive Program Management Lead the modeling, analysis, and administration of short‑term and long‑term incentive programs, including cash bonus plans and performance‑based awards. Administer the end‑to‑end LTI process—partnering with legal to develop agreements, manage vesting, and issue annual grants. Align incentive plans with business goals through collaboration with Finance, Legal and HRBPs. Track and deliver accurate incentive plan reporting to Accounting for accrual purposes. Monitor plan effectiveness and competitiveness; recommend enhancements or adjustments. Prepare materials and analysis for executive review when required. Compensation Strategy & Operations Administer the annual merit cycle, managing incentive calculations and reporting, and partnering with the compensation team for pre‑planning and launch. Conduct market pricing and job evaluations using survey data and internal benchmarks to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity. Analyze compensation data to assess competitiveness and recommend changes to pay structures and programs. Provide guidance to HRBPs and internal customers on job offers, promotions, and salary adjustments for complex or senior‑level roles. Lead or co‑lead projects such as annual market analysis or system implementations (e.g., Workday, LTI Administration Platforms). Partner with the Head of Compensation, HRBPs, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to educate on compensation philosophy and tools. Assist in preparing materials for employees, managers, or executive presentations. Support the SOX audit process by providing necessary documentation and compliance information. Job Architecture & Career Frameworks Contribute to the development and maintenance of job architecture and career framework, including job families, levels, titling standards, and career path frameworks. Evaluate new and evolving roles for alignment within the framework. Collaborate with HR and business leaders to ensure clarity, consistency, and scalability in role structures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field; CCP certification preferred. 5+ years of progressive compensation experience with expertise in incentive plan management and career framework design. Proficiency in MarketPay, Workday and Shareworks preferred. Strong communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills; ability to explain compensation topics to non‑HR stakeholders. Initiative to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and drive analyses and projects independently. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, modeling). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills. Deep knowledge of compensation practices, regulatory requirements such as FLSA, and survey methodologies. Detail oriented with project management and organizational skills. Capability to work standard business hours with occasional extended hours during compensation cycles or special projects. High integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards in handling compensation data and employee information. Benefits & Compensation Base salary range (Chicago): $100,000.00 – $130,000.00, commensurate with experience. Eligibility for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
