Our Specialty Pharmacy Our state-of-the-art specialty pharmacy provides medications that are often used to treat complex or rare conditions. We deliver services to enhance the patient experience within the comfort of their home. To learn more about our team and what we do, watch our video at Job Details Job type: Full-time, in‑office. Pay range: $130,486.45 - $166,369.08 annually, depending on experience. Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range. Engages patients in detailed clinical counseling, assessment, and monitoring on all aspects of their medication regimens, disease states, and addresses inquiries that arise. Completes clinical and quality control checks on prescriptions to ensure all patients receive safe and effective treatments. Conducts provider outreach to ensure appropriate, safe, and effective therapy. Uses available resources to stay knowledgeable about current clinical topics, industry practice standards, safety concerns, and incorporates them into daily practice. Assists with employee training, preceptorship, and special projects as needed. Provides support to leadership and quality program staff to ensure quality management programs and improvement activities are a priority focus and effectively executed. Provides supervision and oversight to pharmacy support personnel. Maintains medication storage, supply chain, and prescription area security. Provides on‑call support as requested to ensure security of pharmacy, proper medication storage, and continuous patient access to pharmacist services. Obtains certifications and pharmacist licensure in additional states as requested to meet business needs. Maintains complete documentation of clinical activities to meet requirements and support effective patient care. Receives and facilitates prescription transfers and verbal prescriptions with accuracy and completeness. Effective communicator, establishing and maintaining professional and positive relationships with patients, providers, and colleagues. Adheres to all state, federal, and local laws pertaining to drug dispensing and patient information, as well as company policies and procedures. Remains dependable and maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality. Is solution‑oriented and problem‑solving to promote safe, effective therapy and remove barriers to care. Maintains active Oregon Pharmacist license. Informs supervisor within 1 business day (and Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 10 days) of any arrests, convictions, suspected or known violations of law, or any other conduct that might affect or has affected license status. Reports to Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 15 days any changes to name, residence or mailing address, email, phone, or employment. Notifies supervisor within 1 business day of any changes to pharmacist licensure status in any other state where a pharmacist license is held. Complies with the company’s Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; attending work punctually and regularly; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills Education/Experience: Required: Degree from college of pharmacy Active Oregon Pharmacist license Preferred: Four to six years related experience working in a pharmacy. One or more years related experience working in a specialty pharmacy. Certification in Specialty Pharmacy Physical and mental functions and activities Maintains continuing education requirements. Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to express oneself, detect, perceive, observe, and assess information exchanged in a variety of communication methods. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with computer applications. Must be able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Working conditions: Work is performed primarily at a desk, with extensive keyboard and telephone work in a stationary position. Business needs may occasionally require work in excess of 40 hours per week, including work outside of the standard work week. Contact with others: Internally with Ardon employees across multiple departments. Externally with patients, prescribers, prescriber agents, payers, and plans. Our Ideal Candidate Has Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively collaborate in a team setting. Proficiency in standard workplace software and/or information management applications. Prior experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting. Ability to navigate computer applications. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of pharmacy benefit investigation, prior authorization support, and patient financial assistance connection. Prior experience working with physicians, nurses, or other healthcare professionals.
