Unit SecretaryThe Unit Secretary performs clerical and computer tasks to assist the nursing and medical staff in their provision of patient care.Essential FunctionsAccurately transcribes physician orders. Performs computer order entry duties.Performs clerical duties related to the maintenance of patient records, unit data, admission, discharge and transfers. Photocopies as directed.Answers the telephone, takes/relays messages and directs calls.Requisitions and orders supplies and equipment, maintenance and repair service and prepares related forms.
