Location: Houston, TX 77099
Pay: $45,000-$55,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time

LINK Staffing is hiring an Operations Specialist - Logistics in Houston, TX. This full-time role pays $45,000-$55,000 per year and is a good fit for someone with logistics or transportation experience who can coordinate shipments, track containers, communicate with carriers and customers, and help keep freight moving on schedule.

Candidates with experience in drayage, port operations, trucking, rail, ocean freight, or import/export are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipments, including trucking, drayage, rail, or ocean freight
• Track containers and help ensure timely pickup and delivery
• Manage appointments, port or rail schedules, and last free day deadlines
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, customers, and warehouse teams
• Review shipping documents such as BOLs, PODs, invoices, and related paperwork
• Monitor delivery issues, delays, discrepancies, or shipment problems
• Update internal systems, spreadsheets, and shipment records
• Support billing review and verify charges when needed

Requirements

• 1-3 years of logistics, transportation, freight, or operations experience preferred
• Experience with drayage, port operations, trucking, rail, or ocean freight is a plus
• Comfortable working with shipment tracking and shipping documents
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and email communication
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced logistics environment
• Experience with TMS, port systems, rail systems, SAP, or similar platforms is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a requirement
• Basic understanding of import/export processes is a plus
