Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric sectors using standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Conduct individual speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and dysphagia.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate integrated care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay current with industry advancements through continued education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
