Responsibilities- Develop creative and appealing menus for a variety of catering events, considering client preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes.
- Maintain strict inventory control, including ordering ingredients, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate closely with the event planning team to understand event details, client needs, and timelines.
- Troubleshoot any kitchen-related issues that may arise during events.
- Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in a catering or high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and recipe development.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification preferred).
- Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently, including inventory, ordering, and staff supervision.
- Creative flair and passion for developing innovative and delicious dishes.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the event planning team and clients.
