Key Responsibilities\n

• Assess and diagnose patients utilizing standardized tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, in compliance with professional ethical guidelines.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that respect cultural diversity and address specific needs identified through comprehensive patient evaluations.

• Regularly monitor patient progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed to enhance mental health outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reports in alignment with department standards and regulatory requirements, leveraging current technology.

• Foster collaboration among patients and their support systems to ensure the development of comprehensive treatment objectives.

• Provide referrals and act as a liaison between patients and other treatment providers or community resources, facilitating a smooth navigation of the healthcare system.

• Offer educational mentorship to students, interns, and other trainees interested in mental health, further enhancing the learning environment of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population for this role includes individuals and families coping with cancer diagnoses, each presenting unique emotional and psychological challenges. The LCSW will be responsible for providing tailored support that addresses anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns arising from these life-altering experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience\n

Experience handling mental health cases within community health settings or clinical environments is preferred but not required. Familiarity with telehealth delivery is a strong advantage, given the remote nature of this role. A background in working with oncology patients or similar populations is additionally desirable.
