Surgery Scheduler

Business Office Associate II (Surgery Scheduler) Bishop&Company, Honolulu HI Pay Rate: $26.00/hour Responsibilities Schedule surgical procedures and related appointments. Coordinate with patients, providers, hospitals, and surgical facilities. Obtain and track insurance authorizations and referrals. Verify required documentation, testing, and clearances prior to surgery. Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR. Manage schedule changes, cancellations, and patient communications. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of medical office or healthcare scheduling experience. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications Surgery scheduling experience strongly preferred. Experience in a surgical practice, hospital, or ambulatory surgery center. Epic (OpTime) experience preferred. Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
