Production Planner

Production PlannerIchor Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our Operations team. This is a full-time onsite position located in Fremont, CA. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual looking to build a career in manufacturing, supply chain, or production planning.The Production Planner will assist with scheduling production orders, monitoring inventory levels, supporting on-time delivery goals, and coordinating with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, analytical abilities, and a desire to learn planning processes and ERP systems.ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and inventory requirements.Release and monitor work orders to support on-time production and shipment goals.Coordinate daily with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams.Track production progress and communicate schedule changes or potential delays.Monitor inventory levels and identify material shortages that could impact production.Maintain accurate planning data and transactions within the ERP system.Generate reports and assist with analyzing production performance, inventory trends, and scheduling efficiency.Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.Assist with forecasting and capacity planning activities.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning and operational processes.Ensure planning activities are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.QualificationsRequired0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or scheduling.High school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to analyze data and solve problems.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).PreferredInternship, coursework, or previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, customer service, or inventory control.Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).Knowledge of basic inventory management and production planning concepts.Familiarity with manufacturing environments.Key CompetenciesPlanning and organizationAnalytical thinkingData accuracyProblem-solvingCommunication skillsCollaboration and teamworkAdaptabilityContinuous learningPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environments.Occasional walking through production and warehouse areas.Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.For candidates in CA: The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $144,500 annually, exempt.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
