Fixed Asset Accountant

Our client, a large well established organization in Gwinnett has a need for a Fixed Asset Accountant. This is a permanent opportunity with excellent benefits. The client offers a base salary up to $70k and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains all aspects of Fixed Asset Accounting and Reporting as follows:
• Review fixed assets purchase requests
• Record and review fixed assets disposition in the system
• Assign and issue fixed asset tags
• Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger vs. general ledger and prepare fixed assets roll-forward
• Perform various fixed assets analyses (depreciation reasonableness, mid-month review, fluctuation analysis)
• Facilitate physical inventory count
• Provide audit (internal/external) support (i.e. pull relevant fixed assets support and address various inquiries)
• Assist in various clean-up efforts
• Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies that can be applied across multiple business groups
• Seek out unresolved accounting problems across the business and take initiative to address them
• Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and/or the equivalent in experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience, manufacturing preferred
• Specialties with Equipment and Building Improvements management
• Excellent MS Excel Skills
• Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
