Non-Profit Accounting Manager

Our client is a mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on serving its community and supporting its programs through strong financial stewardship. They are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, cash management, and reconciliations Manage and execute the month-end and year-end close Prepare and review financial statements and management reports Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting schedules Manage bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Support annual audit and tax preparation Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, including fund accounting and restricted/unrestricted funds Monitor grants, contributions, and other nonprofit revenue Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls Supervise and mentor accounting staff Partner with leadership and department heads on financial reporting and budgeting Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience , preferably within a nonprofit organization Previous Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant experience Strong knowledge of month-end close and financial reporting Experience with fund accounting, grants, and restricted funds Excellent communication and organizational skills CPA or nonprofit accounting experience is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
