This distinguished organization is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to serve as a hands-on accounting leader overseeing the integrity of the general ledger, financial close, consolidation, and reporting across multiple domestic and international entities. This is a senior role ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys digging into the details, solving complex accounting issues, and strengthening processes in a growing, multi-entity organization.

Responsibilities:

· Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation across domestic and international entities

· Own the general ledger and drive the full month-end and year-end close process, from journal entries and reconciliations through consolidated financial statements.

· Ensure consistent accounting practices across entities while maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.

· Oversee nonprofit-specific accounting, including contributions, grants, donor restrictions, net assets, allocations, and functional expenses.

· Lead the annual external audit and coordinate accounting support for tax filings.

· Provide accounting oversight of Accounts Payable and Payroll, ensuring transactions, controls, reconciliations, and close activities are accurately reflected in financial reporting.

· Identify accounting discrepancies and control gaps, investigate root causes, and implement practical improvements to processes, policies, and systems.

· Partner with Finance leadership and international colleagues to explain financial results, resolve complex accounting matters, and maintain accurate, audit-ready records.

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

· 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a background in NFP.

· CPA is a plus.

· Strong background in nonprofit accounting, U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and hands-on general ledger and close management.

· Proven experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidated financial statements, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations.

· Advanced Excel proficiency.

· Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability, with the confidence to independently research and resolve complex issues.
