Accounting Manager

Accounting ManagerA large real estate investment and management firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team and supervise the day-to-day accounting, treasury, and operational tasks for an assigned portfolio of real estate investments. This is a hands-on roll with exposure to all aspects of the business and potential for significant growth.Duties and Responsibilities:Train, supervise and review the work of internal and outsourced Accounting close functionsConduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide coaching and mentoring to team membersContinuously assess accounting processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing streamlined workflowsParticipate in monthly draw processParticipate in coordination and completion of annual auditsParticipate in preparation of property budgets and projectionsInteract with internal management, internal investment team, internal property managers, banking institutions, investors, lenders, JV partners, external tax and legal advisors, and auditors as necessaryParticipate in deal closings including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactionsAd hoc projects as requestedQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA designation preferred3+ years of Real estate investment accounting/operations experience at an owner/operator/lender or third-party administratorStrong leadership abilities and a proven track record in team managementAbility to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environmentMotivated and dependable team player with impeccable ethics who maintains strict confidentialityExcellent written and oral communication skillsSound business acumen and decision-making skills with an aptitude for identifying when issues need escalation to senior managementAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteProficiency with RealPage software is a big plus but not requiredEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
