Staff Accountant

We're recruiting for a growing software company seeking a Staff Accountant to support the continued expansion of its accounting and finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain broad exposure, take ownership of key processes, and grow alongside the organization. The Staff Accountant will assist with general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and other day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy Complete bank, credit card, balance sheet, and account reconciliations Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed Assist with revenue, expense, prepaid, accrual, and fixed-asset accounting Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Help maintain accurate financial records and internal controls Support external audits and tax-related requests Assist with process improvements and accounting-system initiatives Partner with finance and operational teams on special projects as the company continues to grow Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1-3 years of professional accounting experience Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team #J-18808-Ljbffr Green Lion Search Group
