Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility in San Jose is designed to support the recovery and rehabilitation process. It features state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative environment where physical therapists can engage directly with their patients in a hands-on approach. You will be working Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a stable work-life balance while serving a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine patients' physical capabilities and specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans based on assessment findings, ensuring that they align with each patient's individual goals and circumstances.
• Utilize a variety of hands-on techniques and therapeutic exercises, employing modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and manual therapy to facilitate recovery.
• Instruct patients on proper body mechanics and injury prevention strategies, enhancing their understanding of self-care.
• Track and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans based on continuous evaluations of their needs and responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, including consultations with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain meticulous records documenting each patient's treatment interventions, outcomes, and progress towards functional goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population at various stages of recovery, including those rehabilitating from surgical procedures, managing chronic conditions, and those requiring preventative care to enhance physical function and mobility. Your personalized approach will be paramount in encouraging patients to actively engage in their treatment and recovery processes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• Board certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in providing physical therapy, with a strong aptitude for developing treatment plans.
• Understanding of modern rehabilitation techniques and modalities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, essential for clinical assessments and interventions.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, enabling productive interactions with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, we particularly value candidates who have practical experience in an oncology, pediatrics, or geriatric setting. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and previous roles that involved collaboration in interdisciplinary teams will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
