Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a tertiary care hospital setting
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in accordance with unit needs
• Accurately document all patient care activities using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Float to other units as required based on staffing and patient census needs
• Complete all required pre-start orientation modules prior to the assignment start date

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license – must be in hand at time of submission, no exceptions
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system – hard requirement
• Ability and willingness to float to other units as needed
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience, though first-time travelers are accepted
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and high-acuity medical surgical patient populations
