Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate clinical support in a busy gastroenterology practice located in the Midwest region. This role focuses on assisting with patient care management and ensuring smooth clinical operations throughout each patient visit. Key Responsibilities:
Work Schedule: Full-time position with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries via telephone, providing reassurance, education, and appropriate triage.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and documenting chief complaints accurately.
- Communicate abnormal findings to physicians and ensure thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
- Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and medication management, including sample logs and consents.
- Coordinate patient referrals, testing, and follow-up communications to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, sterilizing instruments, and adhering to cleaning protocols.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program is required.
