Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a setting that values best practices and exceptional customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, nursing process, and regulatory requirements. The position supports acute care departments including medical and surgery units, emergency, intensive care, childbirth, pediatrics, operating room, perianesthesia, endoscopy, and cardiac cath lab.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Fiscal Responsibility: Efficiently use resources and supplies, promote cost savings, manage time productively, delegate assignments, and apply education on product and practice changes to reduce non-salary costs.
• Quality: Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, demonstrate critical thinking and multitasking, maintain thorough documentation, practice accountability, collaborate with the care team, and apply evidence-based standards to optimize patient care.
• Community Service and Patient Satisfaction: Represent the healthcare facility positively in community events, actively contribute to patient satisfaction through rounding and timely responses, and maintain a therapeutic environment supporting students and staff.
• Patient Safety: Incorporate safe care practices such as fall prevention, safe mobilization, medication administration, and patient identification. Report near misses and participate in error reduction processes while adhering to Just Culture, HIPAA, and safety standards.
• Professional Growth: Demonstrate leadership in charge RN roles, mentoring, and precepting. Maintain licensure, pursue certifications, participate in clinical advancement programs, and engage in ongoing education and professional development.
• Customer Service: Deliver holistic care based on relationship-based and unit nursing models, meet customer service standards, address ethical issues, and foster positive relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school or, if unaccredited, at least five years of acute care nursing experience or an advanced degree from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in accelerated MSN programs accepted.
• Area-specific education such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications to be obtained and maintained as required.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse licensure by the appropriate state board.
• Maintain required certifications and education relevant to the specialty area.

Work Shift: 1st Shift, Part-time (24 hours weekly)
