Occupational Therapist

TactStaff EDU is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join an elementary school team in Glen Ellyn, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a school-based opportunity working with elementary-aged students and supporting their academic, functional, and developmental success. Start Date: October 11, 2026 Location: Glen Ellyn, Illinois Setting: Elementary School Schedule: Full-Time | School-Based As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with educators, special education staff, administrators, families, and other related service providers to help students develop the skills they need to participate successfully in the classroom and school environment. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, You Will: Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' functional and educational needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans. Support students with fine motor, sensory processing, handwriting, self-help, motor coordination, and school participation skills. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student progress. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. Monitor student progress and provide recommendations based on individual needs. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Provide consultation and strategies to school staff to help students access and participate in the educational environment. Support students across classroom and school-based settings as needed. Elementary OT Caseload This position will primarily support elementary-aged students in a school-based setting. Specific caseload details, student needs, and service requirements will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation $2,000–$2,460 weekly gross pay Weekly direct deposit Competitive compensation based on experience and assignment Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match, where applicable Dedicated Clinical and Recruiting Support Professional Development Resources Credentialing and Onboarding Assistance Access to school-based career opportunities nationwide Qualifications Required: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy Active Illinois Occupational Therapist License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) NBCOT Certification or eligibility Ability to obtain and maintain all required district onboarding and compliance requirements Preferred: Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience Experience working with elementary-aged students Experience supporting students with special education needs Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and school-based occupational therapy Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills Candidates providing occupational therapy services in Illinois schools must maintain an active Illinois Occupational Therapist license through IDFPR.
