Work within a 40-bed general pediatric unit in a tertiary care children's center. The center includes a 20-bed CVICU/PICU, Northern California's largest NICU, a robust newborn nursery service, and a Pediatric Emergency Department. Physicians work closely with a comprehensive complement of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists, supported by a multidisciplinary team. Program structure includes 3 acute care teams daily, 2 Well-Baby Nursery teams (no delivery attendance), in-house nocturnist coverage, and regional teleconsultation support for regional hospitals. Medical education participation with both residents and medical students. Responsibilities Care for medically complex children in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Contribute to medical education.
