Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients ranging from children to seniors by utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, vocal expression, and swallowing abilities.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to foster integrated care approaches.
• Provide patients and families with educational resources to extend their progress beyond clinical visits.
• Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments as necessary to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping in line with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Remain abreast of advancements within the field through professional development and peer collaborations.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
