Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through both standardized evaluation methods and observational practices.
• Create individualized therapy strategies that tackle immediate challenges while nurturing long-term communication and swallowing skills.
• Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions addressing fluency, articulation, voice, and swallowing needs.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to integrate comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progression beyond scheduled therapy.
• Occasionally provide speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed to maintain continuous care throughout the health journey.
• Accurately document patient interactions in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Commit to professional growth by staying informed on the latest advancements via ce courses and peer engagement.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)-certified.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Therapist .
• The ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
