About the Role
  • Assess patients ranging from children to older adults through detailed evaluations and observation-based strategies.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and prolonged speech, cognitive, or swallowing requisites.
  • Conduct focused speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication strategies, language improvement, fluency, and swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and families, to construct seamless care approaches.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and their families to aid in progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations to maintain a consistent trajectory of care.
  • Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that complies with state and federal regulations.
  • Engage in professional development by staying abreast of the latest advancements within the field.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Experience from a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to acquiring ASHA certification.
Certifications Required
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
