Web Developer -(React, CSS3, HTML5)Hybrid

Job Title

Work in a small, high performance agile team environment. Sharing innovative ideas and working collaboratively across teams. Work with talented engineers and product visionaries to contribute to the vision and design of our web and mobile properties. Create front end of interactive websites incorporating HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX as well as other Web 2.0 techniques. Be a product-oriented Web Developer creating and experimenting with new ideas that will engage and excite our customers.

The project is about building the web based experience for a AI assisted shopping journey that will transform the way users shop on the web site.

Experience/Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5+ years experience in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, AJAX and general Web 2.0 techniques in the context of interactive Web Applications.
• Strong understanding of responsive design techniques and principles.
• A passion for all things JavaScript, UI and Front End.
• Must be able to work effectively both on teams as well as be self-motivated, task oriented and organized.
• Strong customer focus and obsession with quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Talk to Product managers and work with other engineering folks to understand requirements and plan and execute deliverable for the Client Shopping Assistant project.
• The engineer will have to coordinate with the website team and understand their release process and coordinate with other XFN teams.
• They will also be responsible for coming up with technical designs and specs based on the requirements.
• Candidate is responsible for coding, writing unit tests, addressing peer review comments, designing solutions for the problem, shipping features and supporting the feature post rollout.
• Candidate is also responsible for ensuring other Engineer’s code is compatible with their own so we build a cohesive experience.

What is the makeup of the team?

• The team consists of mostly backend engineers with a few web front end engineers. The candidate will work with web engineers from the team and other locations.

Additional Job Details: This is a very high visibility and tight deadlines project. So having strong technical knowledge and strong communication skills will be very important. The ability to learn quickly and communicate across many XFN teams will be critical for success.
