Staff Accountant

ASI currently has a hybrid work model. This position requires in person attendance at our office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. ASI is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations across multiple companies. This role is responsible for cash management, accounts payable/receivable processes, fixed asset reporting, and monthly financial close activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and comfortable managing a wide range of accounting functions with accuracy and efficiency. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this individual will serve as a key contributor to the accounting team to maintain financial integrity, support close processes, and deliver timely, accurate reporting across multiple entities. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000. Individual pay within the range will be based on role related experience, education, skills, and qualifications. Responsibilities Monitor cash balances, initiate transfers, and perform bank reconciliations. Manage biweekly payroll, including reconciliations and 401(k) contributions. Support benefits administration, PTO tracking, and insurance payments. Maintain fixed assets, including additions and depreciation. Assist with AR/AP functions, including billing, invoicing, and vendor payments. Prepare account reconciliations, analyses, and support month-end close. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Maintain vendor records and support audit requests. Perform general bookkeeping and identify process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals and account reconciliations. Experience with payroll processing and general ledger systems. Experience working with third-party payroll providers. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
