Pre-Litigation Attorney (PLA)

Salary Range: $110,000.00 To $170,000.00 Annually Position Overview The Capital Law Firm, P.C. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pre-Litigation Attorney (PLA) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced plaintiff environment, has strong negotiation and case strategy skills, and understands the importance of balancing aggressive advocacy with exceptional client service. The PLA will oversee pre-litigation personal injury matters from intake through settlement or transition into litigation. A primary responsibility of this role includes monitoring statutes of limitations and critical deadlines, evaluating case value and liability, negotiating settlements, and filing pre-litigation lawsuits when necessary to protect client interests. We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, strategic, and capable of handling a high-volume caseload while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering results. Responsibilities Manage a pre-litigation caseload from intake through resolution Monitor and manage statutes of limitations and critical legal deadlines Evaluate liability, damages, and overall case value Handle settlement negotiations with insurance carriers and opposing parties Draft, prepare, and file pre-litigation lawsuits and legal pleadings as needed Review medical records, billing, police reports, and supporting documentation Communicate directly with clients regarding case status and strategy Collaborate with case managers, medical records coordinators, and leadership Identify cases requiring escalation into formal litigation Maintain accurate case documentation and notes within case management systems Ensure compliance with California legal procedures and firm protocols Desired Skills & Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar Minimum of 2+ years of experience in pre-litigation personal injury law preferred Strong understanding of pre-litigation case management and California personal injury law Ability to monitor and manage statutes of limitations and critical legal deadlines Knowledge of government claim timelines, deadlines, and statutory requirements Knowledge of uninsured/underinsured motorist timelines, deadlines, and procedures Experience drafting, preparing, and filing pre-litigation lawsuits and legal pleadings Strong negotiation and settlement evaluation skills Ability to identify complex and high-value cases Strong legal research, analytical, and writing abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Ability to work with complex cases and clients in a fast-paced environment Experience in plaintiff personal injury and/or mass tort litigation preferred Salary range: $110,000 – $170,000 DOE Performance and growth opportunities Medical, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off and paid holidays Opportunity to grow within a fast-paced and evolving plaintiff firm environment The Capital Law Firm, P.C. is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a professional, collaborative, and results-driven workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr Evolving Solution Services
