Candidates must be licensed in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for new patients, ensuring accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment planning.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs tailored to the needs of patients with acute or chronic mental illness.

• Provide outpatient psychotherapy through virtual sessions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing various therapeutic modalities.

• Prepare comprehensive intake summaries, treatment plans, and progress notes, maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with state regulations and NCQA standards.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care, including evaluating the need for psychotropic medications within your scope of practice.

• Participate in staff conferences to assess and refine treatment plans, ensuring the highest standard of care.

• Supervise and support Post-Masters Fellows and Associate Clinicians, offering guidance if supervisory training is completed.

• Provide families with supportive resources and information on treatment, promoting engagement and adherence to therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Empathy Matters, you will work with a diverse population of clients, ranging from children to adults, who present with a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Your role will be pivotal in not only diagnosing and treating these conditions but also in educating and guiding patients' families throughout the process.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted licenses to practice as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in California.

• Proven experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health assessments in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with experience in telehealth services, crisis intervention, and familiarity with electronic health record systems are highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
