Lecturer Pool in Department of Forestry, Fire, & Rangeland Management (Academic Year 26/27)

Department of Forestry, Fire, & Rangeland Management Temporary Faculty Pool Forests and rangelands each cover one-third of the land area in the United States. Courses in the Forestry, Fire, and Rangeland Management department teach our students to connect with and manage these lands, working toward a more sustainable future. We provide three Bachelor of Science degrees: Forestry, Applied Fire Science and Management, and Rangeland Resource Science. Our graduate program is the Master of Science in Natural Resources with an option in Forestry, Watershed & Wildland Sciences. Qualifications Forestry – Minimum Qualifications For Forestry courses, the minimum qualifications required are a B.S. degree in Forestry or a related field, and prior or current experience relative to class content. Preference will be given to candidates with a M.S. in Forestry and prior teaching experience. Geospatial Analysis – Minimum Qualifications For Geospatial Analysis (GSP) courses, the minimum qualifications are a B.S. degree in Geospatial Science with an emphasis in Remote Sensing or a related field, as well as prior or current experience relative to class content. Preference will be given to candidates with a M.S. and prior teaching experience. Rangeland Resources – Minimum Qualifications For Rangeland Resources (RRS) courses, the minimum qualifications are a B.S. degree in Rangeland Resources or a related field, and prior or current experience related to class content. Preference will be given to candidates with a M.S. and prior teaching experience. Soil – Minimum Qualifications For Soil courses, the minimum qualifications are a B.S. degree in Soils or Agronomy or a related field, and prior or current experience related to class content. Preference will be given to candidates with a M.S. and prior teaching experience. Watershed – Minimum Qualifications For Watershed courses, the minimum qualifications are a B.S. in Hydrology or a related field, and prior or current experience related to class content. Preference will be given to candidates with a M.S. and prior teaching experience. Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience. Salary schedule information for Lecturer – Academic Year Classification: Lecturer A $5,507 - $6,677 Lecturer B $6,221 - $13,224 Lecturer C $6,825 - $14,523 Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range. The full‑time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
