Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a Renal unit, requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active AL or Compact RN license for night shift work.

Details

• 36-bed inpatient renal unit caring for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, including those requiring renal replacement therapy
• Specializes in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as assigned
• Floating to other units and hospitals required
• EMR: Meditech (experience not required)

Requirements

• Active AL or Compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No hits (past or current) on nursing license
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing
• At least 2 years of RN experience, with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• NURSYS license verification required
• Current driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration

• Works closely with community nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to coordinate renal patient care
• Supports patients throughout their care journey, from diagnosis through treatment
• No pre-start HealthStream modules required — competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation
• RN candidates will receive a Cardiac Exam link after accepting an offer (link expires within 24 hours)
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restrictions
• Solid navy scrubs required
• Timekeeping system: Centricity
