Location 580 East Front Street,Winona, MN, 55987,United States Base Pay $23.1 / Hour Job Category Shipping & Receiving , Warehouse Relocation Expense Covered No Employee Type FT Hourly-Non Exempt Manage Others No This position is responsible for weighing and packaging materials in the production department as well as loading and unloading trucks, labeling stock and non-stock materials, processing inbound and outbound freight bills , and completing any other tasks related to Shipping and Receiving . Work Schedule 2nd Shift Hours. 3pm - 11pm Monday - Friday Responsibilities Loads, unloads, and picks materials as needed Operates heavy motorized material handling equipment Moves material or merchandise to and from storage facilities Examines materials for damage Stores and stacks items in accordance with established storage rules and methods Counts and arranges inventory as needed Creates, prepares, and checks merchandise to be loaded onto trucks Ensures shipments are properly labeled and packed Obtains related documentation for each order Ensures correct ingredients are delivered to the work area Mixes and weighs out ingredients to meet customer orders and specifications Sets up and starts any weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures Remains aware of any issues or concerns with machinery and processes Supplies production laborers with appropriate materials and keeps all equipment operational Other duties as assigned. Requirements Skills and Abilities Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work process, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment Must be able to read and follow manuals and procedures Must have basic computer skills Must be able to maintain a clean and safe workspace Must have a positive attitude Must be dependable and have excellent attendance Must be w illing and able to work overtime as needed, up to every other weekend Must be able to pass a forklift test Must be able to pass a respirator fit test Must be able to read, write, and speak English Education and Experience Preferred high school diploma or equivalent Preferred forklift experience Preferred previous manufacturing experience Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Regularly Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls Talk and hear to coordinate and operate equipment Use of safety equipment as dictated by the work (safety glasses, safety shoes, respirators, face shields, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) Exposure to moving mechanical parts Frequently Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds Work in temperature extremes, wet and/or humid conditions, with dust, fumes, airborne particles Occasionally Sit Handle (with mechanical equipment) up to 250 pounds. Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level requiring use of hearing protection Other Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
