Associate Vice President - Transactions and M&A - Neuroscience - Corporate Business Development

Purpose Of The Role The Associate Vice President, Head of Transactions and M&A for Lilly Neuroscience is responsible for all business development transactions within Lilly’s Neuroscience business unit, including M&A, in-licensing, out-licensing/divestitures, and equity investments. Partner with Lilly’s Neuroscience commercial business unit and Lilly Research Labs to identify and pursue new business opportunities and execute transactions and strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities Oversee neuroscience transactions across all development stages; lead deal negotiations, licensing agreements, M&A, and strategic collaborations. Lead deal teams; collaborate cross-functionally (Legal, Corporate Investment & Financial Banking, Accounting & Finance Planning, Alliance Management) to drive transaction success and efficiency. Coach and oversee Senior Directors on the Transactions team. Partner with the neuroscience Search & Evaluation team to identify and evaluate external opportunities. Influence senior leadership and partners on key decisions to access new portfolios, technologies, processes, products/molecules, or services. Lead large-scale, high-risk/complex business development initiatives. Create/foster strategic relationships with key external partners; solve unique, complex problems. Basic Qualifications Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical industry experience in business development (affiliate/unit/corporate), R&D, finance, sales/marketing, new product planning, or project management. Bachelor’s degree; MBA/PhD/MD preferred. Legally authorized to work in the United States; no anticipated visa sponsorship. Additional Skills/Preferences Experience in licensing, M&A, and equity investments (biotech/pharma); life sciences banking/consulting preferred. Strong clinical development and commercial landscape understanding; collaboration and influence skills. Compensation & Benefits Anticipated wage: $243,000–$356,400.
