About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development to lead fundraising and major gift development for multiple colleges and areas. The successful candidate will serve as the primary director of development for two colleges and will be responsible for overseeing and leading the directors of development for additional colleges and areas. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and close collaboration with deans, campus leaders, and advancement partners to ensure the advancement of philanthropic goals. The Executive Director will also be involved in the development of communication materials, capital campaigns, grant writing, and will play a key role in the university-wide comprehensive capital campaign. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, a valid driver's license, and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in senior development, including management or supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in major gift fundraising, donor cultivation, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to maintain the highest standards of professional integrity. A Master's degree, CFRE certification, and experience in higher education fundraising are preferred. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to implement and oversee major gift and stewardship programs, and a commitment to the mission of the university and the success of its students.
