Position Summary

We are hiring an Accounting & Operations Analyst to support our accounting function and help keep daily operations running smoothly across our six locations. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage the full monthly close, keep our accounts accurate, and serve as a key operational point of contact - coordinating with store managers, maintaining our point-of-sale and online platforms, and using data to help the business make better decisions.

Key Responsibilities

•   Manage the full monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, and preparation of financial statements.

•   Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts each month.

•   Process accounts payable: review, code, and pay vendor invoices, maintain vendor records, and resolve discrepancies.

•   Prepare financial and management reports, and analyze data such as margins, vendor spend, and cash flow to support decisions.

•   Serve as the daily point of contact for store managers across all six locations, coordinating operational needs, marketing updates, and product feedback.

•   Maintain accuracy across online menus, loyalty, and point-of-sale platforms, troubleshooting issues and supporting staff and customer loyalty inquiries.

•   Keep store teams aligned through clear internal communications on product launches, menu changes, and promotions, and provide responsive on-call support for time-sensitive operational needs.

•   Support ad hoc operational and administrative tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

•   Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

•   2-3 years of full-charge bookkeeping or staff accountant experience.

•   Proven ability to complete a monthly close independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision.

•   Proficiency in QuickBooks (or comparable accounting software).

•   Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.

•   Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data.

•   High attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage deadlines independently.

Preferred Qualifications

•   Experience in food, grocery, wholesale, distribution, or another perishable-goods business.

•   Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and online ordering platforms.

•   Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve productivity.
