Parts Room & Maintenance PlannerThe role of the Parts Room & Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access while adhering to all environment, health and safety (EHS) rules. The Parts Room & Maintenance Planner is an integral part of the Maintenance Team. This role is a partner of the maintenance and production teams that works together to ensure the effective capacity utilization, reliability, and life cycle asset management.SHIFTS AVAILABLE:1st shift: Monday-FridayCOMPENSATION:$30-$35/hrBENEFITS:- Up to $4,000 retention AND referral bonuses available- Benefits Day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision!- Retirement: 401(k) match up to 8%WHAT YOU GET TO DOPromote and assure safe work habits including compliance and improvements to company and departmental safety procedures and goals.Ensure that all equipment, parts, and personnel are available through procurement and inventory management to efficiently complete each work order assignment with minimum downtime.Works with operations to prioritize and plan work based on equipment availability, resources, safety impact and availability of outside contractors if needed.Creates and delegates daily work orders based on maintenance requests, planned maintenance and preventive maintenance schedules.Review completed work orders for discrepancies compared to plan regarding time, materials, notes/comments, and completion of tasks. Formally closes work orders after review.Provide technical advice on matters relating to equipment modification and time estimates on maintenance projects.Collects data on equipment breakdowns.Implement, manage, and improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs.Monitor progress on difficult or extended problems and projects.Coordinate outside contractors when required for special project work or to supplement maintenance workforce.Support maintenance schedule including guidance of available resources, development of weekly resource schedules and ongoing improvements.Coordinates various projects as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.Ordering of replacements and spare parts, maintenance & manufacturing supplies, tools, lubricants, machine rolls, etc.Identify unknown parts and locate supplier(s) for these parts as needed for maintenance of the plant machinery.Establishes and maintains effective systems and controls for inventories of all spare parts.Develops inventory systems, cycle counts, and vendor managed inventory systems to improve parts availability and accurate stock levels.Compares vendors for best pricing, delivery, and overall service to find the best suppliers.Assists maintenance technicians with daily tasks or work orders as needed.Trains team members on the proper inventory control system and work order process.WHAT WE VALUERequires ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written forms with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, inside and outside the company.Requires the ability to creatively solve problems and facilitate others to do the same.Must be willing to work flexible schedule.Must be a confident decision maker and capable of making decisions within time and information constraints.The ability to quantify results, identify new opportunities, and interface with all levels of management on a continual basis is required.Must have a strong knowledge of the mechanical crafts and procedures including the millwright trade, pipefitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, sheet metal, and machinist skills.Must have a strong working knowledge of electricity including both A.C. and D.C., electronics, power distribution, and circuitry protection.WHAT WE WANT FROM YOUMinimum of 5 -7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.Ability to read and follow directionsRegular attendancePositive and frequent interactions with othersAdherence to the Core Values of the CompanyAbility to stand up to 100% of timeAbility to move from one place to another up to 100% of timeAbility to work on a computer 50% of timeManufacturing work environment with moderate noise levels and smellsAbility to work with chemicals and cleaning suppliesAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to communicate up to 100% of timeOur ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
