Tax Staff Accountant

Tax Staff Accountant – Full‑time position in our Rochester, NY office. Flexible start date options: August or September 2026 or January 2027. Job Overview Location: Rochester, NY office. Work schedule: full-time; hybrid work arranged as needed. Responsibilities Preparing complex 1040s, high net worth individual returns and business income tax returns (small business, partnerships, S‑corps, C‑corps) Learning the software, processes and procedures to efficiently complete assignments Preparing tax projections to assist clients in implementing tax strategies Developing tax research and writing skills Maintaining strong working relationships with clients and internal team members Developing the skills for basic tax research projects Developing an understanding of tax software for compliance Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting (Master’s in Tax is a plus) CPA license or progress to license required 0–1+ years tax/audit experience in a public accounting firm (internship experience in auditing or tax preparation is a plus) Basic knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications Salary and Benefits Salary range: $60,000 – $64,000 Competitive salaries Paid time off program (4–5 weeks based on level) 16 paid holidays Dress for the day program Hybrid work schedule option 401(k) plan with firm contributions Tuition reimbursement program 100% employer paid parking Spot bonus program and CPA bonus Variety of medical plan options with opt‑out dollars for those who don't need medical insurance coverage Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Insero & Co.
