Position Overview The Allied Health Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Work Environment As a remote position, you will have the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from your own home while utilizing our cutting-edge electronic health record (EHR) system. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health conditions through interviews, observations, and standardized modalities. Create tailored treatment plans that align with each client’s unique needs and goals, integrating various therapeutic techniques. Facilitate regular one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to foster a supportive therapeutic environment. Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary, providing clients with the tools and strategies to manage their conditions effectively. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals when referrals are necessary, ensuring each client receives comprehensive care. Document client interactions and treatment outcomes thoroughly in the EHR system, maintaining accurate records in compliance with confidentiality protocols. Provide support during crises, exhibiting strong intervention skills to ensure the safety and well-being of clients in distress. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will directly impact a diverse clientele who may be grappling with various mental health issues, including but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Qualifications A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. Minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling settings. A deep understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with a range of evidence-based treatment modalities. Proven ability to deliver individual and group therapy with a focus on culturally responsive methods. Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to maintain composure in stressful situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients from varied backgrounds. Experience with EHR systems and general proficiency in applicable computer applications. A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining professional boundaries, and client confidentiality. A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Preferred Experience Experience working with diverse populations, including ethnic and cultural minorities. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and the ability to adapt to the particular needs of clients who have experienced trauma. Prior experience in telehealth or remote counseling environments. Compensation and Benefits Compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
