Quick Facts Location: 100 Highway Terrace, Leavenworth, KS 66048 Start Date: July 6, 2026 End Date: January 9, 2027 Shift: Days (04:00 AM – 06:00 AM) Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Full-time License/Certs: Board eligible, BLS per requirements, online license verification Experience: Previous experience in mental health or correctional setting preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $119.26 Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable Paid sick time as per state, federal, and local laws 24/7 dedicated support team committed to your success What You'll Do Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on records and clinical interviews Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans Perform regular rounds in confined housing areas to assess inmate mental health Provide counseling and crisis interventions tailored to inmate needs Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical staff, social workers, security, and other team members Ensure patient care is well integrated and follow-through is maintained Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to security protocols What You Need Must be at least board eligible with online license verification Valid BLS certification (per CoreCivic requirements) or pending attestation Prior experience working with mental health assessments, counseling, or correctional populations preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication skills and attention to detail About the Assignment This correctional mental health role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in a secure environment while working with a dedicated team.
