The Gutierrez Oncology & Internal Medicine Center is actively seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Cardiology to join our dynamic outpatient practice. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work under the management of our Chief Nurse Practitioner and alongside our Medical Director in the esteemed Division of Cardiology. Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite at our assisted living facility, which creates a collaborative environment allowing easy access to multidisciplinary teams, including Physicians, other Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and administrative support staff. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced schedule with no on-call duties, night shifts, or weekend work, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology, you will play a crucial role in patient care by executing the following responsibilities:

• Collaborating with a team of Cardiologists to ensure continuity of care for patients with various cardiovascular conditions.
• Managing and treating patients with chronic conditions such as Hypertension and High Cholesterol, implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Offering specialized outpatient Electrophysiology services, diagnosing and managing patients with abnormal electrocardiograms, arrhythmias, and those requiring device management.
• Assessing and treating patients diagnosed with acute conditions, including but not limited to Coronary Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Peripheral Artery Disease.
• Conducting Stress Testing as needed and utilizing results to inform treatment decisions.
• Performing comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, to formulate appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Prescribing medications as required or directed, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines.
• Facilitating referrals to other specialists within our organization when necessary, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Educating patients and their families about cardiovascular health and wellness, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists of individuals residing in assisted living facilities who may have complex health needs, including those with cardiovascular concerns. The CACC is committed to providing compassionate care tailored to the unique circumstances of each patient, ensuring they receive the attention and treatment they deserve.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a focus relevant to cardiology and subsequent successful passage of the national certification exam.
• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, demonstrating advanced clinical training.
• A valid, current Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York State.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a commitment to patient education and collaboration.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome both experienced Nurse Practitioners and new graduates, candidates with previous experience in cardiology—whether inpatient or outpatient—will be preferred. Familiarity with cardiac devices and current knowledge of cardiology practices will be highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
