Lakefalls Family Medicine & Pediatric Clinic is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner specialized in Cardiology to join our dedicated team. This position will be instrumental in facilitating high-quality cardiac care within our outpatient practice. The Nurse Practitioner will work under the supervision of our Chief Nurse Practitioner and collaborate closely with the Medical Director of our Division of Cardiology. Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite at our outpatient facility, engaging in direct patient interactions while operating within a team-oriented atmosphere. Working hours are conveniently structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call duties, weekends, or night shifts required, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with a team of cardiologists to deliver comprehensive cardiac care.
• Conduct thorough assessments and manage patients dealing with hypertension, high cholesterol, and a variety of cardiac conditions, ensuring optimal treatment plans are in place.
• Provide outpatient Electrophysiology services to patients including those with arrhythmias, abnormal electrocardiograms, and various cardiac devices.
• Address acute conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack, employing evidence-based practices in management.
• Perform stress testing procedures as part of routine assessments to evaluate cardiac function.
• Consult with on-site cardiologists to receive guidance and oversight in clinical decision-making.
• Execute detailed patient histories and physical examinations, prescribing medications as mandated by clinical protocols.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within the clinic as required, ensuring coordinated care.
• Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment options, and prevention strategies, aiming to empower them in their health journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will serve a diverse patient population, primarily comprising adults with varying degrees of cardiac health challenges. Our focus is on addressing both chronic and acute cardiac issues, providing a comprehensive approach that emphasizes prevention, management, and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A completed accredited Nurse Practitioner program with specific emphasis on Cardiology or related fields.
• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing or a related healthcare discipline.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license valid in the state of New York.
• Completion of the appropriate certification examination relevant to the specialty.

Preferred Experience

• Previous direct experience in a Cardiology setting, either in inpatient or outpatient roles, is preferred.
• Familiarity with Electrophysiology practices and stress testing will be advantageous.
• New graduates with relevant clinical rotations in Cardiology or related areas are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
