Senior Software Engineer - Clearing

Role Description
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Clearing team you’ll work on what happens after the trade is made. Most of the work we do is not user facing (although we have some user facing systems as well) but is very much essential to the day to day operations of a Broker Dealer company.
- Become self-clearing in US equities and US options.
- Work on securities finance related functions.
- Build infrastructure to launch new product offerings, like Fully Paid Securities Lending.
- Participate in exciting initiatives currently in development.

- Own projects from ideation to deployment, building what’s necessary.
- Design and build new systems to enable new products or unlock more revenue.
- Refine existing systems for meaningful improvements.
- Learn about instrumental aspects of financial markets.
- Influence company direction and collaborate with great people from other teams.
- Participate in on-call rotation to maintain system health.
Qualifications
- Deeply interested in how traditional financial markets work.
- Experience working at startups and understanding of shifting priorities.
- Good foundational knowledge of how computers, the internet, databases, and distributed systems work.
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt based on new information.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building reliable and distributed systems.
- Productive with technologies: Go, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes.
- Ability to design good (RESTful) APIs and spot bad ones.
