The Department of Medicine at our organization is in search of a full-time Academic Rheumatologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to become a part of our Division of Rheumatology. This role provides a chance to engage in comprehensive rheumatology practice within a collaborative and academically driven setting.
Position Overview:Outpatient rheumatology practice addressing a wide variety of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders.
Responsibilities include inpatient consultation services.
Engagement in multidisciplinary clinics and innovative care models.
Exposure to a diverse array of complex rheumatologic conditions.
A vibrant academic atmosphere with opportunities to educate medical students, residents, and fellows.
Possibilities to initiate or take part in clinical and/or translational research.
Collaborative care approach involving Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and other support personnel.
MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
Proven clinical proficiency in managing rheumatologic diseases.
Strong dedication to medical education and mentorship.
Interest or background in clinical research is highly preferred.
Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations.
Attractive base salary range of $240,000-$270,000 based on academic rank, with additional incentive bonuses available.
