Assistant General Manager

Posted Monday, August 3, 2026 at 4:00 AM Job Summary: The Nassau Diner is seeking for an experienced and team-oriented candidate for the Assistant General Manager . This is a Full-Time position. Candidate must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays. Essential Functions: Oversee and perform all duties of the Front Desk Monitor and maintain store inventory pars Maintain a very clean work environment Monitor daily reservations and make confirmation phone calls as appropriate Record all deliveries (paper, produce etc) and any errors Coach and support new and existing staff members Handle customer reservations and requests over the phone Make sure all employees follow company policies and guidelines Maintain professionalism and set an example for all staff Ensure diner is complying with health and safety regulations Support General Manager as applicable Other duties as assigned Requirements: More than two years in FOH restaurant experience Physical Demands: Physical, Mental and Workplace Environment Conditions The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear The employee is frequently required to stand and walk Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision & focus Working Conditions: Workplace Environment Conditions The noise level in this workplace is usually moderate to high.
