Accountant

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Accountant to join our Client's team. The Accountant is responsible for performing mid-level to complex accounting functions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and statutory requirements. In addition, this role will participate in monthly close activities and will preparing internal and external reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Prepares and posts moderately complex journal entries. Generates internal financial performance reports and narratives, creates adhoc reports, and validates data output. Performs account reconciliations and analyze variances, including key drivers and trends. Processes and reports transactions in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Participates in month-end and year-end close processes. Participates in special projects within the division and cross functional teams. Identifies opportunities for process improvement to achieve operational efficiency; researches alternatives and proposes recommendations to management. Identifies and researches problems; proactively proposes solutions. Assists with internal and external audit requirements. This list is not all-inclusive and you are expected to perform other duties as requested or assigned Minimum Qualifications 2+ w/Bachelors degree in AccountingKnowledge, Skills, Abilities Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Strong organizational/time management and multi-tasking abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Oracle Financial or ERP software experience. Effectively coordinate work and communicate across functions and levels in the organization. Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
