As an Airport Security Officer: Enhanced: Part Time Patrol in Kailua Kona, HI , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule DayTime Fri 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM Requirements Valid Driver's License (+1 years) 1+ years of Security Experience 21+ years of age Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and personnel by following security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or appropriate personnel when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted areas, roadways, parking locations, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and observe people, vehicles, and property for security‑related concerns, documenting observations and/or incidents according to post orders and location guidelines. Support government location operations by assisting with directions, monitoring compliance with access requirements, and communicating professionally with the public and/or client representatives. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
