Director Of MDS

Must have prior Nursing Home experience! We are currently seeking a dedicated MDS RN to join our team as Director of the department. The RN will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely completion of Minimum Data Set assessments for our patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment that focuses on providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical records and care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate coding and documentation
• Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology to accurately assess patient needs
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
• Assist in discharge planning and coordination of patient care transitions
• Manage medical records efficiently and accurately
• Assist in medical coding tasks related to patient diagnoses and procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
• Proficiency in MDS 3.0 assessments, scheduling, Medicare guidelines and have strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of discharge planning processes and regulations
