Head Coach, Men'S & Women'S Diving

Head Coach, Men's & Women’s Diving Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking a candidate to serve as the Head Coach for the Men's & Women’s Diving programs in Providence, Rhode Island. The Athletics department is a member of the Ivy League and sponsors 34 varsity teams with roughly 1,000 NCAA‑Division I student‑athletes. This position serves as the Head Coach for both men’s and women’s diving and also functions as the Assistant Coach for Men’s & Women’s Swimming. The Head Coach reports to the Head Coach, Men’s Swimming & Diving and the Head Coach, Women’s Swimming & Diving. Key Responsibilities Coach and recruit student-athletes for the men's and women's diving teams. Coordinate training schedules and manage team logistics, including travel. Ensure compliance with NCAA and Ivy League regulations and submit required compliance documentation. Collaborate with the swimming coaching staff on athlete development and program integration. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree. One to three years of coaching experience at the club, high‑school, or college level, and/or collegiate swimming and diving experience; collegiate coaching experience preferred. Job Competencies Recruit within NCAA and Ivy League rules. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Ability to connect with and support student-athletes. In‑depth technical, tactical, and strategic diving knowledge. Commitment to an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives. Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, email, and internet. Social-media experience helpful. Familiarity with FrontRush, Teamworks, or similar program. Experience with video-editing software helpful. Passion for coaching, motivation, and the game. Background Checks & Certifications All candidates must pass a criminal background check and DMV check satisfactory to Brown University before employment. Coaching staff must receive annual NCAA recruiting rules education and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (available at no cost through the Division).
