Production Operators

Production Operator – Port Newark, NJ We are looking to hire a Production Operator for our vegetable oil manufacturing facility. The operator is involved in daily operations on a 7‑day rotating shift, responsible for production and deliveries of refined vegetable oil, routine housekeeping, and basic maintenance repairs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate all stations within the production department, including deodorization, hydrogenation, interesterification, bleaching, blending and loading of tank wagons, railcars and packaging. Complete all required documentation and oil analysis. Complete all training requested. Assist the shift leader in tasks required to meet production schedules and deliveries. Assist other refinery operators as needed. Perform housekeeping support for the refinery, roads and grounds. Assist maintenance employees with their tasks. Use the forklift and other company tools and equipment safely. Perform designated minor maintenance tasks using hand tools. Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor regarding issues and problems. Maintain a clean and efficient worksite before and after each shift. Use the computerized work order system to submit work orders for the shift supervisor’s evaluation. Participate in company activities such as safety and audit committees, and task forces. Support the goal of minimum part sparing consistent with production goals and local vendor support services. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Strong problem‑solving and math skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills. 2–3 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
