Medical AssistantPerforms a broad range of administrative and clerical duties in support of department operations. Directs workflow. Maintains a consistent and professional appearance in all communications in written and verbal form. Assists with research and provides administrative support to special projects.Days, 8 hour shift, 13-week assignment$26.00 - $28.00 DEOSet up exam rooms and check in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care logs for lab tests, referrals and transfers. Obtains vital signs. Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physicians.Performs venipunctures, audiometry and vision testing as ordered.Answers phone, takes messages and directs call to the appropriate person. Admit patients into clinic. Pull charts, processes encounter forms, verify insurance and patient information in computer.Set up exam rooms and check in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care logs for lab tests, referrals and transfers.Obtains vital signs and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physicians.Performs audiometry and vision testing.Organized and maintained files, documents, and office recordsPerforms other job-related duties as assigned2 years of experience as medical assistantHigh school diploma/GED or equivalentEpic experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and other basic office software.BLS certified by AHA onlyMust be able to pass medical screeningsMust be able to pass background check.All associates receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.
