About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Programs to provide strategic leadership for its global and domestic program initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of program strategies that align with the organization's mission and values. This includes setting strategic priorities, guiding new initiatives, and ensuring that programs are responsive to the needs of the communities they serve. The role also involves providing oversight of the company's grantmaking and partner support, with a focus on building and maintaining long-term, trust-based relationships. The Vice President of Programs will be a key thought partner to the Executive Director, helping to translate strategy into action and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 or more years of experience in nonprofit programs, philanthropy, global development, climate justice, or a related field, and a proven track record of leading program strategy in a growing organization. They should be adept at managing and developing staff, as well as aligning program strategy with organizational priorities. Experience in community development, global programs, and a strong commitment to environmental justice and equity are essential. The role requires a leader who is comfortable with complexity, can build effective systems, and is dedicated to the mission of the company. Professional fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred, and experience with Indigenous communities and participatory philanthropy is highly valued.
